Kalo is deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture and tradition, carrying the story of Hāloa and serving as a nutritious, versatile staple in local diets. By offering fresh kalo products, our student entrepreneurs are not only preserving this legacy but also filling the high demand for quality, locally sourced kalo.
What is Kulolo?
Kulolo is a traditional Hawaiian dessert made from kalo (taro), coconut milk, and sugar, steamed or baked until it reaches a rich, pudding-like consistency. Chewy and not too sweet but just right!
